Hey everyone! Phill and I decided that we wanted one last vacation where we could just up and go and not have to worry about anything so we went to Denver to go and see a Rockies game last weekend!
We left fri after I got off work and came home sunday. It was great to be able to just get away and relax especially since we knew we wouldn't be able to do that again for a really long time! :o)
On Sat we went on a tour of the stadium and just hung out in downtown Denver untilbatting practice. Phill said he was there to get baseballs. Well that he did. We came home with 4 one of which I got signed by Trevor Hoffman the Padres closer. (we are naming one of our other boys after him) We had 5 originally but there was a little boy that was sitting by us that couldn't sit still and was climbing all over the place so we gave him one of the balls. Trevor got the save and the Padres beat the Rockies 3-1.
On Sunday we went to IHOP and had breakfast and then were on our way home. We went through the Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Forest on the way home. Just before we got to the Nat'l forest we saw 15 female, 1 baby, and 4 bull elk. The bull that was with the pack of female was a 12 point bull!!!! Holy Cow! It ended up taking us 11 hrs to get home with all the stopping that we did, and needless to say that many hrs in a car.... I swelled up pretty bad. It was well worth it though. We had a great trip and are now looking forward to our next adventure.... Kendrick!
